Below is a list of the learning activities we've accomplished so far along with each activity's purpose:
In Let's Play Music we love our puppet shows! They help us appreciate and
listen intelligently to classical music. The children learn to distinguish the
different sections, instruments, and themes while doing actions that tell a
story.
We've had so much fun performing "Aragonnaise" from Carmen
by Georges Bizet (aka "The Magical Lamp")! We're now moving on to our "Waltz of the Flowers" puppet show which is a song from "The Nutcracker" by Pytor Tchaikovsky. The children received new puppets to color and create this week. I can't wait to see how they turn out!
Classes have started with our Red Balloons semester! We're having so much fun playing and learning. What a joy this program is!
Coming Up...
We've got a date and time for the MANDATORY PARENT ORIENTATION meeting! It will be held at my house, 792 W 1360 N, Orem on August 14th at 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.
You will be given a lot of important information that evening, so this meeting
is for parents only. You'll also receive your student's materials for the year,
and learn how to help your child succeed and get the most out of class! I’ll
give everyone a quick reminder call a couple of days before, but please mark
your calendars. Also, please RSVP to me so I know that you're able to attend that
night.
I'm looking forward to a fun-filled year of musical training! It will be so great!

I just returned from Let's Play Music's corporate symposium in Arizona. It's hard to believe, but now I'm even MORE excited to teach Let's Play Music! What an amazing company, and what a fantastic program! I had so much fun with all the teachers and advisors--these ladies sure know how to have a good time! And the workshops were full of great information to help students succeed. I'm thrilled to be able to share Let's Play Music!
